Jahson signs new UK recording deal
Young St Mary-born artiste Jahson, formerly managed by England footballer Daniel Sturridge through his Sturr Class Entertainment company, is excited about the new recording deal he has signed with UK-based production and entertainment company Addmore Entertainment.
The artiste, who has been recording professionally since 2010, made the decision to work with Addmore Entertainment because they share the same vision towards music, a challenge he faced while working with Sturr Class.
"I needed a team who is 100 per cent about music and dedicated to my career, so I decided to part ways amicably with Sturr Class Entertainment after our two-year contract was concluded. With this recording deal with Addmore, I get to focus on putting out really potent material, and already our chemistry is great in the production lab," Jahson explained
The artiste, who gained some traction a few years ago with his Dream Big single, sees this new partnership as the prime opportunity to dominate the local and regional markets.
Jahson will also be even more exposed to the international market as Addmore Entertainment incorporates international producers, songwriters and recording artistes who are eager to work with talented Jamaican artistes.
Jahson has been collaborating with acts like UK-based pop artiste Ashley David, including on the up-tempo party single Up Up, produced by DeanyBoy Music, also based in the UK.
"Working with Ashley David and DeanyBoy on this single has been seamless. Ashley is of Jamaican descent, so communication is very easy. He's very humble and we both respect each other's talent, so the chemistry is good," Jahson added
Up Up also has accompanying visuals that will be released shortly after the single and is expected to uplift the spirit and confidence of anyone who comes into contact with the song.
The deal with Addmore Entertainment will see Jahson recording at least three singles with the team and finalising plans for a full-length project.
