Merciless added to Errol Dunkley show line-up
Dancehall star Merciless has been added to the line-up of veteran reggae singer Errol Dunkley's upcoming birthday bash.
Merciless, who is known for the singles Ole Gallis, Len Out Mi Mercy, Mavis and Talk Already, is enjoying a resurgence in his career with songs such as Deportee and Ninja Man Story.
The latter single, which is released on the Sweet Music label, name-drops several artistes and is a running social commentary of dancehall gossip for humour and laughs.
"The song a go hard, the people dem love the lines 'inna Bounty coffin, mi a drive the last nail', and 'Zebra ah empty World Boss pail'," said Merciless.
Dunkley, the Black Cinderella singer will, celebrate his 67th birthday on February 6 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston.
The event, dubbed Errol Dunkley's Birthday Bash, will feature a plethora of veteran reggae acts, including Gem Myers, Jackie Paris, Dennis Walks, Hopeton James, Derrick Morgan, Pam Hall, Jah T, Kananjah, Jah T and Papa Kojak.
Lloyd Parkes and We The People will be the backing band for the concert. Music will be provided by Black Pepper disco. Showtime is 9 p.m.
