Star-studded concert for Errol Dunkley's birthday
Veteran reggae singer Errol Dunkley will celebrate his 67th birthday with a star-filled concert on April 2 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew.
The event, dubbed 'Errol Dunkley's Birthday Bash', will feature a plethora of veteran reggae acts, including Pat Kelly, Pam Hall, Jackie Paris and Merciless.
The Black Cinderella singer had originally planned to host the show in February, but 'logistical concerns' caused its postponement until April 2.
"I want all Dunkley's fans and supporters to come out and celebrate his birthday with him. It's going to be a fantastic event. We have put together a great line-up of artistes. This event is not to be missed," promoter Horseman said.
Lloyd Parkes & We The People will be the backing band for the concert. Music will be provided by Black Pepper disco.
Dunkley began his career at the age of 14 in 1965. In 1972, he recorded one of his most popular singles, Black Cinderella, for producer Jimmy Radway. He continued to record throughout the '70s and became very popular in the United Kingdom, where he scored one of his biggest hits, OK Fred.
