Aidonia in high demand in the US
It's been almost a year since his last performance in New York, but come April 28, dancehall artiste Aidonia will make his highly anticipated return at an event set for the Amazura Nightclub in Queens.
Publicist Ronnie Tomlinson told THE WEEKEND STAR that there is a strong demand for Aidonia in the United States and said that there are persons across the country wishing to see the deejay perform live.
He believes that Queens residents are definitely in for a treat and said that tickets for the show are selling fast.
"A lot of Americans have never seen him perform before. They love his music, and [with] Aidonia being one of the best dancehall artistes in the world right now, the expectations are super high," he said.
"With Aidonia on the show, we think it is going to be tremendous and totally different. He is one of the hottest dancehall artistes at the moment, and he is going to bring excitement and a new look to the event," said Tomlinson.
The deejay, who was recently awarded Deejay of The Year at the Youth View Awards, said that he is grateful for the recognition he receives for his music.
He revealed that the support has been spilling over into corporate Jamaica and that he believes his career is moving in the right direction.
"I am grateful for the recognition, and some corporate deals have been coming my way, so I am happy to be making the right moves," he said. "I have been in the top five for a long time in dancehall, and it's a blessing to see that I am rewarded for the hard work that I have been putting in."
