VaCae Weekend set to take over Ochi
Organisers of VaCae Weekend are optimistic that the event will not only deliver festivity, but will also serve as a major contributor to Jamaica's economic growth.
Set to take place from March 29 to April 1 in Ocho Rios, St Ann, the organisers, Twenty 14 Limited, are confident that it will attract thousands of tourists to the island.
The VaCae series encompasses seven marquee events, inclusive of The Lawn; Pan Di Plaza; Aquaholix; Strickly 2k; Ova Suh; The Estate; and the celebrated Sandz Caribbean Music Festival. This four-day extravaganza during the Easter weekend caters to a diverse audience with a rich blend of Caribbean music genres.
"VaCae Weekend has proven to be a boon for the Jamaican economy, creating over 200 job opportunities for Jamaicans directly; over 300 indirectly, and stimulating sales for local vendors, hotels, and transportation providers," the organisers said.
Andrew Ellis, CEO of Twenty 14 Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the event's growth and impact.
"I'm incredibly proud of VaCae's growth over the years. This event series is a testament to our commitment to boosting the Jamaican economy and garnering international attention to what Jamaica has to offer within the entertainment industry. We have broken several barriers, offering unique value propositions for each of our events. I have no doubt in my mind that we will continue to grow and expand into new markets," Ellis said.
