Scotchie Boss goes dancehall on new single

US-based alternative artiste Scotchie Boss recently teamed up with dancehall artiste Jamal to record a single titled Bad Fi Real.

The song, which was produced by the Montego Bay-based record label Damage Musiq, as well as Bossy Record, was released two weeks ago.

"I have to give a big shout-out to Jamal for jumping on this track with me. I love the response it's generating. It's receiving tremendous support from DJs in Montego Bay, Kingston, New York, New Jersey, London and Toronto. It's also picking up in other major cities in Europe, South America and Africa. I have to big up the teams at Damage Musiq and Bossy for all the hard work they're doing to make this song a global hit," said Scotchie Boss.

The Queens, New York native, who is also a trained chef, said he's happy to be working with Damage Musiq, as before that, music was just a hobby for him.

"I'm a chef and during the breaks at work I sing to pass the time. But since I hooked up with Damage, it's a whole different thing. I'm humbled to be working with an icon such as Damage Musiq. I never thought I would be valued as an artiste by such a top-class producer," said Scotchie Boss.

He is also promoting his debut single, titled War, featuring Tommy Lee, which was released in February.

"Working on this track with Tommy Lee was an awesome experience. We filmed the video in Flankers and some other parts of MoBay. The vibes on the video shoot was off the charts. Working with Damage, Tommy Lee and the whole team on that project was next-level," he said.

Scotchie Boss is gearing up to drop some more singles, including a collaboration with Chronic Law.
