$195 million allocated for St Thomas road repairs

Some $195 million has been allocated to the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation to facilitate urgent restorative roadworks in St Thomas.

Minister of Education, Youth and Information Senator the Hon Ruel Reid, speaking at a recent post-Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House, said this is to repair damage to the road network and associated structures from flood rains in May last year.

Work has already started to repair the road with further improvement to be done pending the approval of the Supplementary Estimates now before Parliament.
