Three firearms seized on Mandela Highway

Police assigned to the St Andrew South Division seized three firearms on a section of the Mandela Highway in St Andrew on Saturday.

The firearms seized are a Glock pistol with two magazines, one Taurus pistol with one magazine, and one .38 revolver

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 5:45 p.m., a team was conducting operations in the area when a motorcycle was intercepted with two men aboard. A bag they were carrying was searched and the firearms seized.

The men were taken into custody. However, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
