Teen's body found but hand missing
Residents of Linstead were left puzzled by the discovery of the mutilated remains of a teenage boy that was found last Thursday.
According to police reports, at approximately 5: 15 p.m., residents stumbled upon the decomposing body of the 13-year-old, identified as Okeem Golding. The body was foound behind a house on Chapel Street. The left hand was severed.
Achara Myers, who works on a plaza that was frequented by Golding, said he had known him for more than a year and is puzzled by his death.
"Him death just look a way to me. Mi not even know fi describe it but him face distorted and one a him hand gone. Me no know if a somebody kill him cause people a say it look like a poison dem poison him, and others a say him drop off a house top," Myers told THE WEEKEND STAR.
Golding's body was found after him being missing for about a week, Myers said.
"Him mother come by and say she can't find him and me no see him from the Thursday before," Myers said.
He said that Golding was always willing to help in whatever way he could.
"Him deh all bout inna a Linstead helping out just fi get a fare fi go school, or a lunch money. Him mother look like she neva have it send dem go school and he was very willing so we even gave him the name 'Hulk,' Myers said.
