"Mi almost lose me life," Rohan Brown said when he appeared in court yesterday. He said that he is being beaten by other prisoners.
The man, who appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in Half-Way Tree, is accused of stealing a pair of Nike Revolution shoes. He wore a pair of slippers to court and told the court that he is being treated harshly at the facility.
"I have no knowledge of what you talking about," he told the judge when asked whether he stole the shoes.
"Look pon me, Your Honour. Mi a suffera, mi live alone," he said.
