Cops accused of fondling man's penis

December 07, 2017

Eight policemen have been accused of stripping a man naked, beating him violently and fondling his penis.

The incident, which allegedly took place on Wednesday, November 29, is now the subject of a probe by at least one member of the Police High Command.

"I have instructed that an investigation be conducted into the matter right away," Superintendent Clive Blair, commander for the St Catherine South Police Division, told THE STAR yesterday.

The alleged victim said he was arrested by the police after he failed to produce an identification card to the cops, while he was operating a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus.

"I am an employee of JUTC. I identified myself verbally, but no one would want to hear me, not even the sergeant in charge," the man said.

The man said the fondling of his penis took place while he was locked up at the station last week Wednesday.

Blair said the investigation was ordered on Monday. He did not say when he is expected to receive the results of the investigations.
