Taxi driver killed in early morning crash
An early morning crash has claimed one life and injured five others in Bluefields, Westmoreland.
The collision took place along the Farm main road in the parish yesterday.
Dead is 61-year-old Earl Stewart from Holland district in St Elizabeth. It is said that he was a taxi driver.
Reports from the police's Corporate Communications Unit are that Holland and five other persons were travelling in an easterly direction yesterday at about 6:45 a.m., when the car in which they were travelling collided with a minibus.
All the passengers of both vehicles were taken to hospital where Holland was pronounced dead. The other passengers are said to be in serious condition.
