UTECH calls off classes
The University of Technology Jamaica (UTECH) has announced that it will be closed for 14 consecutive days, effective Friday, March 13.
The announcement was posted on the University's twitter page.
"During this 14-day period, we will be undertaking steps to put properly in place access for students to classes via online means. We will also seek to put in place additional measures to accommodate our students and other stakeholders," the tweet read.
It added that no classes should be held at the University's locations.
The University of the West Indies (Mona) also suspended classes at its locations.
