Ja's Stevens, Fagan on target in Vietnam

Jamaicans Errol Stevens and Andre Fagan were on target for Hai Phong in Vietnam's V-League yesterday.

Stevens who got his last national cap against South Korea in October 2015, scored in the 18th minute and Fagan in the 51st as Hai Phong defeated Than Quang Ninh 2-0.

Thirty-year-old Stevens, a former Harbour View and Arnett Gardens Premier League player, has been in fine form for his Vietnam club during the past three seasons. In 2015 he slammed in 13 goals in 11 matches and last year scored 10 in nine games. Yesterday's goal was his first for the 2017 season after three games.

Fagan, 29, has been playing in the V-League since his transfer from Harbour View in 2011. While not as prolific as Stevens he has been getting his fair share of goals. He bagged four goals in 2014, five in 2015 and eight last year.

Hai Phong are sitting in fourth spot in the 14-team league after three games with two wins and one loss. Sai Gon in second and Ha Noi, third, are also have six points but lead Hai Phong on goal difference, Thanh Hoa top the league with a perfect nine points from their three games.
