Jamaica All-Stars, Brazil All-Stars clash tomorrow
Legendary World Cup heroes, Dunga and Rivaldo, will be on show for a Brazil All-Stars team against a Jamaica All-Stars XI at the National Stadium tomorrow.
Hosted by Ballaz International and Whole Life Sports Ministry, the 'Share the Love Tour' the match which is set to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. will see Ricardo 'Bibbi' Gardner, Walter 'The Pearl' Boyd, Ian 'Pepe' Goodison, Andrew 'Bomma' Williams and Donald 'Fowlie' Stewart making up the Jamaica team.
In explaining the concept, director of Ballaz International, Andre Virtue, said the tour is designed simply to Share the Love of Christ with a focus on community development through the use of football as a tool of engagement for youth across the island.
Local fans, he said, have not seen the likes of Boyd, Goodison, Gardner and Gregory Messam play together in years and there has been heightened anticipation and excitement among Jamaicans responding on social media, much like the excitement back in 1998 when many of these players went to the World Cup in France.
The event is sponsored by Ballaz International, Innovative Dreams International Ltd. Boardroom Consultants, KFC, Pure National Ice, JUTC and Knutsford Court Hotel.
Ticket prices are $4,500 VIP, $3,500 grandstand and $1,500 bleachers. There is a special price of $500 for students with valid identification. Gates open at 5 p.m.
