Fans will once against be able to benefit from the International Association of Athletics Federations Fantasy Diamond League as the 2017 Diamond League season begins next week in Doha.

As in previous years, the 2017 edition follows the athletes who compete in the 32 event disciplines at the 14 meetings of the IAAF Diamond League this year.

Players have to identify nine athletes at each IAAF Diamond League meeting who they think will place highest in their events. Just as with the real IAAF Diamond League itself, points are then awarded based on how well the athletes perform.

As well as the overall leader board, players can also set up private leagues with their friends and colleagues.

The winner of each meeting will receive a personalised engraved glass diamond, while the overall winner at the end of the season will receive a personalised engraved glass diamond plus a selection of money-can't-buy memorabilia from various meetings on the 2017 IAAF Diamond League circuit.

The Diamond League begins on May 5 in Doha and continues in Shanghai and Eugene on May 13 and 27, respectively.

The league moves to Rome on June 8, Oslo on June 15, and Stockholm on June 18. It goes to Paris on July 6, London on July 9, Morocco on July 16, and Monaco on July 21.

The meet moves to Birmingham on August 20, Zurich on August 24, and concludes in Belgium on September 1.
