Griezmann closer to Man Utd?
English Premier League club Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid's French striker Antoine Griezmann, according to rumours in the British press.
Several UK publications have picked up on an article, which appeared in SunSport which claims that the way has been paved for the striker's arrival at Old Trafford on a five year deal worth PS280,000 a week.
The report states that Manchester United will meet the PS89 million buy-out clause in the 26 year-old's Atletico contract.
With the club again failing in the league, coach Jose Mourinho is expected to make the striker the first signing in what has the potential to be a busy Summer transfer market for the Red Devils, who are looking to rebuold the squad for a title challenge next season.
United will take a 1-0 advantage in their return Europa League semi-final game against Celta Vigo at Old Trafford next week with Champions League qualification believed to be the deciding factor for the prolific striker.
Griezmann would lead a United frontline which will be vacated by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who recently suffered a season-ending injury after a positive spell in Manchester.
Atletico are said to be targeting Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez and Lyon Alexandre Lacazette as possible replacements.
