In this October 16, 2016 file photo, Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Walker blows a kiss to the fans after the end of their Premier League match against Manchester City at White Hart Lane stadium in London. Kyle Walker became the most expensive defender of all time when he joined Manchester City from Tottenham, the player's management company said yesterday.

Manchester City signed defender Kyle Walker from Premier League rival Tottenham on Friday in a deal worth up to PS50 million ($65 million).

Full backs are a priority for City manager Pep Guardiola this offseason, after releasing Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy last month.

The 27-year-old Walker has been one of the Premier League's top right backs in recent years. The England international signed a five-year deal with City.
