Bank on Drone Strike, Sir John in Sunday’s Reggae 6

DRONE STRIKE and SIR JOHN are the proposed bankers for Sunday’s Reggae 6 ahead of Monday’s mandatory payout.

DRONE STRIKE was twice caught stealing home in recent races but should have the measure of a cheaper field in Sunday’s opening event.

SIR JOHN, who won by almost a dozen lengths on last, beating $500,000 claimers, is down in class against $350,000 company in the third event.

BROMPTON BOY is also down in class in the fifth, but could face a potential market-springer in BESTDAUGHTERINLAW, a course specialist returning off a break but active at exercise.

Reggae 6 bettors ought to tread carefully in the other events, especially the closer for three-year-old maidens, who are yet to finish second/third in a race.

REGGAE 6 SNAPS:

(1) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 3-9-6 – (3) Caught close home in back-to-back races. Faces far weaker rivals. (9) Not far behind runner-up Drone Strike in a race won by CW Treasure. (6) Placed 4th in figure-8, now refitted, in July.

(2) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 4-8-3 – (4) Down in class after making frame at $1.5m in three consecutive races. (8) Claimed as a winner at level on last. Strong finisher. (3) Double-digit winner at a mile on last.

(3) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 6-5-7 – (6) Down in class. Beat $500k claimers by almost 10 lts, Sept 5. (5) Just failed to catch Tuts at 7f, Sept 12. (7) Lost 2nd to Colorado Ranger, trying to chase down winner Silent Cat.

(4) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 8-6-3 – (8) Chased winner Hoofy Dee relentlessly, Sept 27. (6) Third into lane behind Hoofy Dee and Shan Shan on last. Note tongue-tie fitted. (3) Chased market-springer winner, My Honeydew.

(5) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 9-6-5-7 – (9) Down in class. Outsprinted by Ridge Liner on $1m tag. (6) Caught close to home by Ability at trip. (5) Strong finisher at trip. (7) Hasn’t raced since Dec but a dangerous course-specialist.

(6) JIMMIE’S TIPS: 10-14-12 – (10) Sharp at exercise, 1:01.3, from gate with Mo Pai. (14) Galloped 37.1 out straight with Jo Boxer. (12) Weakened in the last two races with blinkers fitted. Note: blinkers removed.
