Pregnant for one man, but in love with another
Dear Pastor,
I am 22 years old. I have been reading your column since I was seven years old. I was with two different guys.
I got pregnant for one of them, but I still love the other guy. We are living together right now. His family doesn't want us to be together anymore because I got pregnant for another guy.
The guy that I am living with loves me more than my babyfather does. His family doesn't speak to him for that reason and I feel bad in myself to know that I am wrong, but this pregnancy is a mistake and they won't understand that because they think that no one can make mistakes.
His mother doesn't help him in his life, but yet still they are telling him to get his things sorted out.
What should I do?
N.P.
Dear N.P.,
Where is the father of the child you are carrying? Has he abandoned you? I am glad to know that the guy who did not impregnate you is trying to help you.
But, you have to be careful because you do not want to have this child and register the child in the name of the man who is not the biological father because that can cause problems in the years ahead.
You claim that you do not love the man who impregnated you as much as the one you are living with, so you need to find out whether this man who impregnated you doesn't want to have anything to do with the child you are carrying. That would make it easier for you to decide what to do when the child is born.
Stop blaming the parents of this man. They have a right to be concerned. Be careful what you say about these people.
A woman must only have one man and you had two in your life. That doesn't say well of you.
Pastor
