Buju Banton’s return stage show happens this Saturday, March 16. The long-awaited Long Walk to Freedom concert, which kicks off the reggae entertainer’s tour throughout the Caribbean, begins at 8 p.m. and is expected to see a packed stadium of residents and visitors.
Although tickets are close to sold out, The WEEKEND STAR is making it easier for persons to see the Gargamel in action.
Walk with a copy of today’s paper and you can purchase bleachers tickets for only $3,000 at the RJRGleaner gift shop at Lyndhurst Road, Kingston 5, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The concert features Chronixx, Cocoa Tea, Etana, Ghost, Romain Virgo, L.U.S.T., Agent Sasco, Delly Ranx and Jahazeil.
There is also an official welcome party planned for tonight at Mas Camp. According to Ronnie Tomlinson, Banton’s publicist, “Patrons want a weekend of celebration, and we’re going to give them that.” Mas Camp is slated to be transformed into ‘Ras Camp’ as the natural vibrations from the headliner’s music will start the fire that is expected to ignite the stage the next day. The event is being held in association with Solid Agency, Rocker’s Island Production, Gargamel Music, and Boom Energy Drink.
