Outreach Centre to be built for teen mothers in Santa Cruz

Some $19.3 million has been set aside in the 2018-2019 Budget for the construction of the Santa Cruz Outreach centre.

The project, which is to be undertaken by the Women's Centre Foundation of Jamaica, is aimed at expanding activities for adolescent mothers in St Elizabeth.

When constructed, the Women's Centre Foundation of Jamaica aims to increase the number of teen mothers attending the Centre and the number of teen mothers being reintegrated into the formal school system.
