The 'Django Unchained' star has confessed that when he was struggling to make it as a comedian, he used to stand outside The Roxbury club in Los Angeles, desperately trying to get celebrities' attention as they left the club.
He said: "Everybody that would walk out, I would yell at. I know he doesn't remember this, but Wesley Snipes - I would stalk Wesley Snipes. I was the dude on the other side of the street when they would walk out. I would be like, 'Wesley Snipes, I see you, Wesley Snipes.' Every week, I was there, and one day, Denzel Washington walked out of that joint, and I breached security ... . I went to hug him, and he did some kind of Denzel move like, 'Hold on.' He got me right in the neck, and I was like, 'I'm just trying to give you your props. I love you, D.'"
Things couldn't be more different for Jamie now.
The 37-year-old singer previously appeared as a coach on the US singing competition for six seasons and has said that while she originally thought the show's concept of holding blind auditions where coaches are only able to hear the voice of the contestant and must judge them on talent alone was "genuine", she quickly changed her mind.
She said: "I signed on to a show where the blind audition element was something interesting, something genuine. After a while, though, you start to see that everyone is good-looking. It wasn't a comfortable place for me to be, where I'm just part of a moneymaking machine. When I stop believing in something, then it's like, 'What am I doing here?'"

When asked about wedding planning, she gushed on The Today Show: "I mean, I don't know when or where, but we're going to do it. I'm locking it down. He's mine."
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old singer previously admitted she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with her fiancE from "week one" of their relationship.
"I was a little aggressive. We said 'I love you' week one. it took a minute, and he said something like, 'I'm enamoured with you' or whatever, and I was like, 'what does that mean? Just say it!'"
The 28-year-old singer was left terrified last March when Mohammed Jaffar entered her New York apartment building and was arrested for burglary, stalking and trespassing, but now, more than a year after his arrest, he has been sentenced to half a year in prison.
According to E! News, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office says that Mohammed pleaded guilty to attempted burglary in the second degree on Monday, May 7.
On Wednesday, a judge officially handed him his punishment.
In addition to the six months, he has been sentenced to five years on probation, where he has to continue mental-health treatment in Michigan.
Mohammed was originally supposed to face trial in September 2017 but was found unfit to stand trial.
