With Archangel and L'il K-Ron eliminated, the contestants on Digicel Rising Stars have now been whittled down to nine. Fresh from a studio session with international guest judge Fernando Garibay, the contestants gave it their all last Sunday night, during the live show.

First up was Christina, who tried her best to tackle Dreaming of You by Selena, much to the distress of judge Anthony Miller. She was followed by Khorous, who was very cautious in his performance. Twins TNT also tried to deliver with Brave by Sarah Bareilles, which the judges thought was another poor song choice. Up next was a fierce Monifa Goss, who brought energy with Survivor's Eye of the Tiger.

While girl group ANE got kudos for their voices, their questionable outfits distracted the audience and stole the limelight. Kelly struggled with Shania Twain's From This Moment, and while Elton Earlington gave a great performance, he lost points from the judges for his misinterpretation of the song.

The judges agreed that the Gifted One had the best performance of the night, bringing a cool retro reggae vibe with Sanchez's Missing You Now.

Guest judge Fernando Garibay noted: "Luckily, I got to see them perform without the pressure so I believe they are all mega-talented, but it will come down to who can do it under the pressure. From working with them in the workshop, I've seen where some of them made improvements. The best advice that I can give to them is to practise even in the most stressful of situations. Sing in public, in front of your worst enemies and get yourself trained if you want to give yourself a shot."

Garibay is an American music producer, songwriter and DJ who has worked with top international stars such as Lady Gaga, Shakira, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, among others.
