Shade Reggae spreads her wings
Shade Reggae has made her mark as a model. She has even appeared as an extra in high-profile films, including 'Bad Boys II'. Now she is ready to stretch her vocal capabilities and spread her wings musically.
On April 12, Shade Reggae will release her new single, Fill'er Up, which was produced by In Motion Records. Although the song is days away from its digital release, it was premiered on her website, www.shadereggae.com, on April 6. The official music video for the song will be released in a few weeks.
She is currently in Jamaica shooting the music video to enhance the song's promotion.
"I'm originally from Duhaney Park, but I have been travelling back and forth to the United States (US) since 2001," she explained.
MODELLING
After signing with Pulse Model Management, she went to the US to do a modelling campaign for Cable & Wireless. She later landed a contract with LL Bean's Asia.
Born Simone Henry, she made her recording debut in 1999 with the song Big Ninja Bike. Since then, she has worked with producers like Bunny 'Striker' Lee, Delroy Pottinger and Karl Peterson. She has also done collaborations with Macka Diamond, Lady G and Junior Reid.
She has received attention for songs like Saaf, Hot Boys and Moving On.
Shade Reggae, who runs a modelling agency in Atlanta, is preparing for the release of her album, reSURGEnt.
