Dancehall artiste QQ has been spending his time in quarantine connecting with his fans, particularly his strong female following. Based on conversations he has been having with his fans over the past few weeks, the artiste revealed there was a yearning among his female fans to 'wine and bruk out'.

Always one quick to fill any voids brought to his attention, the entertainer said he decided it was a perfect time to drop his latest single and music video, ' Wine Wine'.

He said in speaking with female fans on social media, they complained that their boyfriends couldn't come over to satisfy them.

"I asked them what they wanted and they said they wanted to be able to bruk out inna dem bedroom," he said. "I said to Mike Yangstar in Sweden, who is the producer, that now is a good time to capitalise on the females being at home because they can actually get to bruk out. He thought it was a brilliant idea so him drop the song and we dropped the video a few days after that."

"The good thing is that the visuals were shot from back in February and we were waiting on the mixed version of the song to finish up editing. Everything got done in time and so the video is out now on my YouTube channel," he said.

VIDEO done BEFORE COVID-19

QQ stressed that the music video for Wine Wine was shot on location in Jamaica by Xtreme Arts, pre-COVID-19.

The entertainer, who recently had one of his videos removed from YouTube for its strong sexual content, said he will continue to release sexually charged songs as he wants to show people how much he's grown in dancehall.

"I believe in growth, and how better to show that I'm grown than to actually show my level of experience, especially to the ladies that I've always catered to? This will not only show that QQ is grown but show off my versatility," he said. "They (the masses) know I can do reggae because I started out doing that with Poverty and Better Must Come. They know I can sing fi woman dem because me do One Drop. Dem know me can do dancing song because me gi dem Stookie and Rumm Ramm, so what else can I give them? Me a give dem the sexual side. It better than go down the gunman road."

When asked if he was looking to bring a little competition to Dexta Daps, who is known for his explicit content, QQ said although competition is always good in music, the latter is not his goal.

"Me nah look fi compete with someone who is a phenomenal artiste and a great act. People would probably put things into perspective to push that agenda, but I see him as an exceptional writer and artiste," he expressed. "An artiste is as good as his last hit, and so I have to continuously maintain a certain presence. I have to keep reinventing myself. If I come back every time as the same person in every song, you're really not giving the masses anything new to work with."
