Jah Boy releases Afrobeat album

Music producer, Alrick Bailey, more popularly known as Jah Boy, is optimistic that his latest project will further cement his name within the industry.

He is known for several projects he participated in with Afrobeat star Davido, which inspired him to head his own album featuring the genre, titled Amazing Afro Beat.

"I am an all-rounder when it comes to music, but I resonate more with Afrobeat, it's somewhat of a niche. I have produced several Afrobeat songs, made several beats for the genre, and it grew on me over time. In addition to having African artistes on the album, I ensured that I added Jamaican talents as well, because a lot of dancehall artistes can flow on an Afrobeat riddim flawlessly," said Jah Boy. Davido, Anthony B, Amma Abena, and Gaza Kim are some of the artistes on the 20-track album.

"Several of the songs have already garnered thousands of online streams, and the songs from the Jamaican artistes are taking radio by storm," he said.
