Chef’s life cut short by gunfire in Gregory Park

A 32-year-old chef was found dead with what appeared to be gunshot wounds inside a one-room board structure in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine, yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Tavin Dwayne Richmond of Lot 192 Gulf, Gregory Park.

Reports from the Caymanas Police are that about 3 p.m. on September 7, explosions were heard in a section of the Gulf community.

The police were summoned, and checks were made at a one-room board structure where Richmond's body was found lying on its back with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed, and the body was removed by a funeral home pending a post-mortem examination.

No motive has yet been established for Richmond's death.

The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the fatal shooting.
