Up-and-coming acts have over the years complained about the lack of recording opportunities, and rising label Ivey League Productions hopes to fill that void.

According to label CEO Laten Ivey, the aims and objectives of the label is to nurture and work with emerging acts.

"My label aims to create a lane for up-and-coming artistes with the ability to excel with a diverse culture. My goal is for Ivey League Productions to become a household name and to put out quality and timeless music," Ivey disclosed.

Ivey League Productions is based in the United Kingdom but Ivey is originally from Unity district in Lawrence Tavern, rural St Andrew.

The label made its debut in 2021 with the 'Better Days' rhythm project. It featured songs such as Made for This by D'Yani, Big Up God by Kash, and Meet Again by Symflo.

Ivey said that even though music production has been challenging, it has also been an eye-opening and rewarding for him.

"I'm fascinated with the process of production, from making the beat, to voicing, mixing and arriving at the finished product," he shared.
