Cardi B’s absence forces BZR WKND Jamaica postponement
BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 has been postponed after headliner Cardi B became unavailable to perform at the event.
The festival, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, October 18, will now take place on December 20, organisers announced in a statement addressed to patrons and supporters.
The organisers expressed condolences to Cardi B and her family following the death of a loved one but did not provide further details about the circumstances.
“Regrettably, due to circumstances beyond our control, Cardi B is unable to perform at BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 as originally scheduled,” the statement said.
The organisers apologised to patrons who had already purchased tickets and made travel and accommodation arrangements, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the postponement.
Despite the setback, BZR WKND maintained that the show would go on, insisting that its vision extended beyond a single performer.
“One thing is certain: We will not let you down. A show will happen!” the statement declared.
The organisers said they remained committed to delivering a major entertainment experience for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, adding that the additional time would be used to build an even bigger production.
All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event on December 20.
Patrons who are unable to attend the new date or would prefer a refund can submit a request by emailing *[eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com](mailto:eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com)*.
The organisers asked customers to include their full name, ticket purchase confirmation, order or transaction reference number, and the email address used to purchase the tickets.
A press conference is expected to be held later this week to address questions and provide further details about the rescheduled event.
BZR WKND said it remained grateful for the support of patrons and promised an unforgettable experience when the festival takes place in December.
