J'can woman arrested for passport fraud in Barbados

A Jamaican national accused of falsifying an immigration stamp was taken into custody following her arrival in Barbados last Sunday.

Charged with possession of a falsified immigration stamp is Natalee Nevers.

According to Nation News, Nevers arrived by air from Jamaica on November 8 and presented her Jamaican passport to the on duty immigration officer. It is said that during an interview and thorough checks made by the Barbados Immigration Department, certain irregularities with the entry stamp in the accused woman's passport were found.

Further investigation led to the police being alerted. She was subsequently arrested and charged by Barbadian authorities.
