Woman allegedly robs employers more than $62 million
A former manager at a prominent business place in Mandeville, Manchester, is alleged to have robbed her employers of more than $62 million.
Detectives assigned to the Fraud Squad at Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) have charged 37-year-old Taneka Stewart-Blake, of Mahoe Avenue, Old Harbour, St. Catherine, for the multimillion crime.
The police said that Stewart-Blake, who was manager at a prominent business place in Mandeville, Manchester, bet-ween December 2008 and December 2015, misrepresented the daily sales at the company and pocketed $62.75 million.
The matter was reported to Fraud Squad and an investigation subsequently launched.
Stewart-Blake was arrested and charged on Monday, March 21, and is to appear before the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Wednesday, March 30.
