Police deployed to troubled sections of St James

September 28, 2016
Police have been busy patrolling sections of Montego Bay since yesterday.

A special police team is currently touring troubled sections of St James in light of the upsurge in crime in the parish.

Earlier today, the police, lead by Senior Superintendent of Police Steve Brown, met with angry protesters in Mount Salem.

The residents told STAR Online that the blockage of the roadway was in protest against the brutal slaying of two relatives on Friday.

The operation then led the police to Norwood and Glendevon where people and property were searched.

The death toll in the parish now stands at 200 since the start of the year.
