14-year-old held with gun

A 14-year-old boy was held with a loaded firearm in downtown Kingston on Saturday.

The teen, whose name is being withheld pending further investigation, was caught about 6:15 p.m. on Rose Lane with a 9mm pistol tucked in his waistband.

Reports from the police are that the teen aroused the suspicion of a team of officers on patrol.

He was accosted and searched and the weapon found.
