Tension in Olympic Gardens after double murder

The St Andrew South police are investigating the murder of two men gunned down in Olympic Gardens late Tuesday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that 45-year-old Glenroy Rowe of a Hibiscus Avenue address, and 37-year-old Richard Frazer were attacked in the community on Tower Avenue.

The incident occurred about 10:45 p.m.

Reports are that Rowe and Frazer were among patrons at a bar when armed men entered and opened fire hitting both men several times.

They were pronounced dead at hospital.

THE STAR understands that the fatal shooting came on the heel of 12 homes being firebombed along Olympic Way.

Our news team gathered that nine children and 15 adults were left homeless following the incident.

According to the police, Molotov cocktails were thrown on the buildings located at White Wing, Olympic Way.

It is still not clear if the incidents are related.

The Hunts Bay police are investigating both incidents.
