Two gunned down in May Pen
The nations murder toll continues to spiral out of control with 37 days left in the year.
This follows the shooting death of two men in May Pen, Clarendon, yesterday morning.
THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that 20-year-old Tupsi-Ann Ricketts, an auto mechanic of Western Park Road, and 33-year-old Archibald Rodney of New Road, Mocho, were gunned down in a shop.
The police say about 9:37 a.m., residents heard explosions and summoned them.
Our news team understands that on arrival of the police, the deceased men were seen with gunshot wounds to their heads.
Reports are that the gunmen drove up in a white Toyota Vitz and carried out their onslaught.
Both men were pronounced dead at hospital.
The May Pen police are investigating.
For the past five months, the island has averaged just about 140 murders per month, with the deadliest month being August with 167 killings.
