'Pepe' pays up after wounding charge
Former National footballer Ian 'Pepe' Goodison had to fork out US$1,000 (J$125,917) to a complainant before a wounding matter he was charged with in December 2017 could be dismissed yesterday at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Pepe was charged with unlawful wounding on December 24, last year.
The former national star had to pay the money to an aunt of the complainant who was present on his behalf.
The court heard that the terms were agreed on during mediation.
Parish Judge Shansia Burrell asked that the notes be copied for file purposes.
The matter was dismissed after the aunt was satisfied that the notes were genuine and copies handed over to the court.
