Fired for kissing the security guard?

A former worker at a corporate area guest house is convinced that she lost her job because a co-worker reportedly told lies that she was seen kissing the security guard.

The woman, Kenesha, said she has been the victim of tall tales told on her.

"The first time, he lied that I was fighting with him about who should carry the bag and that I said I won't carry any bags to the guests' rooms. Then he fabricated another lie to the property managers to say that I am allowing strangers to go to guests' rooms without their permission. These are all lies," she said.

Kenesha said she was surprise last Friday she was called into a meeting with the personnel manager and told that her services were no longer needed. A manager at the facility told The WEEKEND STAR that Kenesha's dismissal had nothing to do with the so-called string of lies that were told on her.

Kenesha, however, felt she was doing well at her job, despite some hiccups.

"The one complain some people had was that I was transferring the calls to the wrong department. That I can live with because I was new, and I fixed those things. And they never said anything about dress code, except that we should be modest, so I was shocked when she said that people were complaining about my attire and that she had to talk to me about my hair a number of times, and that is a lie," Kenesha said.

Kenesha believes that she was fired because of the rumour that she was tongue-locked with a security guard while on duty.

"I don't think it have anything to do with my performance because, in the meeting, when I asked her what about my performance that was off, she could not tell me. The same boy did make a complain that I was kissing a security guard at the front of the building one night while I was doing an overnight shift, and that is a lie. I think that the rumours are why they fired me," she said.
