Deacon named as suspect in female's murder
Linton Stephenson, a church deacon, has been named as a suspect in the killing of the woman who was found on the Winston Jones High-way on Tuesday morning.
It was reported that the police went to his home in Bloomfield Circle, Manchester, where they found a knife with bloodstains on it.
THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the 59-year-old is currently on parole for a murder he committed several years ago.
The woman, who is yet to be identified, was found at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday in a cooler on the back seat of a Toyota Starlet with her throat slashed.
Meanwhile, the deacon is also wanted for an incident that happened on August 16, where he pulled a gun on a woman and threatened to kill her.
The Manchester police said that a warrant is being drafted for his arrest after the gun they believe was used in the August 16 incident was found at his home.
The police are asking Stephenson to turn himself in.
