Crucial clashes in St Mary Big Bash tomorrow

A number of crucial matches will take place tomorrow in the LP Martin/ St. Mary Cricket Association Maurice Clarke Big Bash Twenty20 competition.

At Three Hills Oval, the unbeaten pair of Lodge and hosts Three Hills, will square off at 2 p.m. Lodge will start favourites having scored a decisive victory over Sandals-Beaches last Sunday. Lodge will be looking to top guns Kevin Daley and Giftin Wray to lead the batting while Kevin Hinds has been their most destructive bowler to date. Three Hills boast a powerful batting line up led by Orlando Robinson and Winston Benain, while Sanjay Myers is their top bowler.

In the opening match at Three Hills Oval at 10 a.m., Sandals-Beaches and Days Mountain will clash in what is a must win for both teams if they are to have any shot at making the semi-finals. The hotelmen will be looking to batting stars Michael Downer, Richardo Thompson, Delroy Patterson and Shane Rickets and bowlers Kageil Earle, Marlon Thompson and Martin Simms to lead them to victory. Days Mountain will be led by Samuel McIntosh and Romeo McDonald.

In other featured matches, champions Port Maria will battle Gayle in the feature match at Boscobel Oval. Lascelles Davis, Dalton Howell, Marlon Byfield and Richard Creary are the top players on the Port Maria team, while Ashan Aarons and Kemoy Williams will lead the charge for the Gayle team.

Top Pen and Trinity land will do battle in the opening match at Boscobel Oval, while Bonny Gate and Oxford meet at Bonny Gate.

Over at Galina Oval, The feature encounter will be between Jack's River and Wilderness. Jack's River's skipper Orane Farr, Kemar Silvera, Fitzroy Nelson and Kemoy Williams will be the mainstays of the team, while Wilderness will be looking to Martin Belnavis to chart a victory course. Ronville Brown and Ian Mcleod are expected to lead Fort Georges to victory over Highgate in the opening match.
