Tornadoes Swim meet continues at National Aquatic Centre
An exciting and competitive Tornadoes Invitational Swim Meet got under way late yesterday afternoon at the National Aquatic Centre at 5:30 p.m.
Jamaica's best upcoming swimmers are renewing rivalries for titles and bragging rights. One of the premier events on the swimming calendar, hundreds of swimmers from several swim clubs are participating.
Yesterday's opening afternoon sessions included action in events one through 12.
Meanwhile, today's morning's session, which is expected to comprise events 13-36, will be for age 10 and under swimmers only.
It will be followed by an equally compact and exciting afternoon session which starts at 2:00 pm with events 37 to 72 slated for the 11 and over age group and masters swimmers.
The third and final day tomorrow will start at 9:00 a.m. with all swimmers participating in events 73 to 112.
Last year, Tornadoes Swim Club placed first with 2,039.50 points, followed by Y Speedos with 1,523, and Marlins, 639.30 points.
