New Jamaica College (JC) forward, Orlando Brown hit a fine first half brace which lifted the reigning Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Flow Manning Cup champions to total domination of Vauxhall High School, hitting them 6-0 at 189 Old Hope Road on Tuesday.

The player, formerly of Denham Town High, bagged two superb goals in minutes 19 and 30, before being pulled from the contest which JC led 4-0 at the half time break.

Brown was a combination of skill and power, and very confident on the ball, beating the Vauxhall defence at will, and showing good deft touch in controlling an aerial balls and shooting at goal.

"It's a special feeling for me to score the first time for Jamaica College, moving from Denham Town where it was very competitive," he said.

set target

He scored five times last year for the West Kingston-based school, and has set his target on hopefully getting 20 goals this year.

"I just want to come and play football, and listen what the coach says, and work hard every day,"

Following the game, JC team manager Ian Forbes said they will be getting counselling for their players following the death of former player Dominic James on Tuesday.

He added that the team was headed in the right direction.

"I think we are trending in the right direction and progressing game by game, adding team chemistry is improving day by day."
