Grange: Athletes are doing their best
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, has congratulated Ristananna Tracey on taking the bronze medal in the 400 metre hurdles at the IAAF World Championships currently underway in London.
Minister Grange said it was "obvious that Ristananna gave it her all" in the
championship race in which she returned her personal best time of 53.74.
The Minister said that while the Jamaican team has not been as dominant as in
the previous years, "our athletes are doing their best and must continue to enjoy
the full support of all Jamaicans."
The Minister also acknowledged the "historic achievement Kemoy Campbell" who became the first Jamaican to qualify for the final of the men's 5,000 metres at the World Championships.
