Fisher joins Mattocks at DC United
National defender Oniel Fisher is set to ply his trade for DC United this season in Major League Soccer (MLS), after he was trade by Seattle Sounders FC, from the same league.
Fisher, who played right-back, was part of the Sounders MLS Cup-winning squad in 2016, in which he appeared in six league contests. He made nine appearances for the Sounders last season, before dropping to the bench.
He will link up with his national teammate Darren Mattocks who was traded by the Portland Timbers to DC United in January.
The former St George's College's Manning Cup star was selected by the Sounders in the second round of MLS Super Draft after stellar collegiate career with the University of New Mexico.
The 26-year-old Fisher made a career-high 12 appearances, including nine starts, as a rookie in 2015.
Fisher made his international debut for the Reggae Boyz in a 3-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in 2010.
He also represented the national Under-20 team in the 2011 CONCACAF Championships.
