Jamaica's Jaydon Hibbert fulfilled hi favourite tag to capture the Boys' Under-20 Long Jump title at the 2022 Carfita Games on at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica earlier.

Hibbert took gold with a jump of 7.62 metres, made on his fifth attempt.

Uroy Ryan of St Vincent and the Grenadines got silver with 7.52, while Aren Spencer of Barbados earned bronze with 7.48.

Ryan's jump was still just short of Hibbert's second-round jump of 7.56, but with the Vincentian getting closer with his best coming in his fifth round, Hibbert was forced into a big effort to make the gold medal sure.

Jamaica's Balvin Israel was fifth with 7.22.

Hibbert will be going after a second gold medal when the Boys' Under-20 Triple Jump takes place tomorrow.
