Flava Unit anniversary party next week
Portmore's award winning sound system, Flava Unit, in association with Guinness, will on Thursday, December 17, host its 11th anniversary party at Ken's Wildflower Parking Lot, Bayside, in St Catherine.
Desmond 'Dessi' Reid, the operator of the sound system, said that it is indeed a special moment in the history of the unit, and that they would continue to move from strength to strength.
The party will feature a celebrity clash with Portmore promoter Kelly Upsetter playing Kingston promoter Charmaine Deportee; and radio personality Christopher 'Johnny' Daley playing Fabian Taylor. Guest artistes include Sizzla Kolonji, Kalado, I-Octane, Kiprich, Jahmiel, RDX, Konshens, Frisco Kid, Razor B, Bascom X, and others.
Flava Unit will be quite busy this Christmas season as they are booked for Sting on December 26. They are also booked for shows on Christmas Day in Haze Clarendon; a sound clash in Light House, Saleem, St Ann, dubbed 'Sound fi Dead', on December 19; and Gangsta Rock Gettho Ball on New Year's Eve at Lava Ground, Capture Land, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
