Dancehall artiste Konshens has opined that the dancehall culture needs to be more than just a trend on the international scene.

“We just need more dancehall artistes out in the forefront at the same time. Mi think the break too long between when we get a successful dancehall artiste,” Konshens said.

The artiste is today beaming with pride after he performed at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, to a sold-out crowd.

Konshens performed at the Hot97’s 2017 Summer Jam concert on Sunday where some 50,000 persons were in attendance.

“We perform a stadium all the time round the world but that stadium coming like a whole different energy,” said Konshens, who along with Charly Black were the only dancehall presence on the primarily hip-hop lineup.
