Jamaica-born artiste Tina Pinnock is against the idea of entertainers clashing, although it is not unusual to hear of events promoting that style of entertainment in New York, where she was raised.

Known professionally as Hood Celebrityy, the recording artiste told The STAR that an entertainer-against-entertainer clash only creates or adds fuel to the fire in an argument between two people whose focus should be demonstrating their talent.

"It will continue to cause issues until it later assassinates the character of the persons involved in the clash rather than help with building character and strength for performances," Hood Celebrityy said.

As a female artiste, Hood Celebrityy finds it important to avoid confrontation and drama in the industry. She reasoned that "there's so much negativity going on, and we live in a time where women need upliftment and motivation, most especially from one another."

"That is the significant meaning behind me singing about female empowerment, to put something positive in the air."

Hood Celebrityy believes the Caribbean diaspora needs a global movement to promote unification among entertainers because they are the main representation and teachers for the various cultures.

"If we come together as one, especially with music, I think we have the ability to have a great positive impact on the world," she said.

"One major issue in the music industry that I would like to see improve is to see a sisterhood built among all female artistes," she added.

Hood Celebrityy has opened shows for artistes like Shaggy and Barrington Levy, but hopes to meet more of the leading personalities in the Jamaican music industry to work on collaborations. Her music is a combination of the trap, hip hop, dancehall and reggae musical genres.

Thus far, she has worked on hot singles with Cardi B - Island Girls and Back it Up, which also features Star of the Month, dancehall recording artiste Konshens.
