Beekie Bailey eyes Red Hot 2021

This year was supposed to be the comeback year for veteran comedic entertainer Beekie Bailey, but 2020 had other plans.

"I was sick. I did an operation on my eye in 2018 and just when I was about to get over it and launch out now in 2020, COVID mash it up, but ah just so it guh. I just have to reorganise and come again," he said.

Beekle Bailey has recorded a slew of new songs toward releasing a six-track EP. He hopes it will boost his musical career, which has floundered during the pandemic that forced the cancellation of several live events worldwide.

"I have managed by doing dubplate and getting remittances from family," said the artiste, given name Samuel Walker.

Beekie Bailey is angling for a major comeback with the release of a new single, Red Hot.

"The feedback on the song has been incredible so far because of the subject matter. I am addressing the end of days, talking the chaos in the world, the world ah run 'Red Hot'....wars, rumours of wars, famine, pestilence, pandemic and disease, and the possibility of World War III. So I am calling for an end to nuclear testing and people really love the message of peace," Beekie Bailey said.

Discovered on the Sunshine Talent Show by legendary Jamaican actor Carl Bradshaw in 1986, Beekie Bailey has recorded songs such as Rasta A Big Gallis, Jah A You Alone and Wifey A Lead.

Beekie Bailey has worked with Shocking Vibes Production, and toured with artistes like Mad Cobra, Shabba Ranks, Terror Fabulous and Bounty Killer.
