Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Starrr Doll says she will be using 2021 to make boss moves in her career.
She told THE WEEKEND STAR that she recently landed two endorsement deals and yesterday launched her podcast, Dolly Badness.
"As an artiste, you have to be multi-dimensional. If you want to elevate your brand and artistry, it's important to find various avenues to market yourself. The Dolly Badness podcast will be me talking about the things that matter to me as well as important events happening all over the world. It is a different element for me but I am a creative and a visionary and I see how this can work to push my career even further," she said. "People will get to see me outside of music and I think that will make them even more interested in Starrr Doll."
Scheduled to release the video for her latest single, Dem Vex, in the coming week, the budding female artiste says she has much in store this year, including a 10-track EP.
LOVE TO RELATIONSHIPS
"I don't have a title for that project yet nor a release date but I am very excited about the project. I have a collective of songs that I have recorded that explores a wide range of topics from love to relationships to fashion etc," she said. "We're going through the process of selecting the songs now. I have a song with Chi Ching Ching, I have a track with Versatile and I am hoping to put them on the compilation. I know it's going to be something the public will appreciate and I am looking forward to their support." Still, the entertainer says she is not placing heavy expectations on the project.
"But I do put in the work and I know that there is a bigger goal for me. I don't know exactly what that is because I don't know what God has planned for me. But I do know hard work is always rewarded," she said.
